THE THEORY OF DIRECT MAIL |
First we devised the three ultimate laws that affect all direct mail
("start here")
Then we answered a few basic questions - like does it work all the time ("getting going")
Then we expanded our knowledge with the aim of covering the key issues, not just saying "do this, it works" but looking at the background and trying to evolve a deeper knowledge that will be applicable in all situations. ("the theory")
That left us with the individual effects of all the factors that seem to affect direct mail response rates. We've written them up as a separate section ("the factors")
